This is an example that you get what you pay for. The fan feels and looks cheap. It's 90% plastic and if hit or hit hard enough it's likely to become permanently unbalanced and make noise as it spins. Happened to me on the way. Arrived bent and dented, but that's not the manufacturer's fault. I folded it back as much as I could and installed it anyway. My older child loves it so we're keeping it but can't use it at high speeds due to the squeaking noise due to damage. The remote control is not intuitive either. Very strange buttons in strange places. Also, keep in mind that this isn't a hidden mount - it's located about 8 inches from the ceiling. Even if it had arrived intact, I wouldn't buy it again.
