It served its purpose and was solid once installed. But unless you're lucky enough to install on studs, don't expect this thing to crash or fall out of the wall unless you use your own anchoring system. It doesn't even come with enough anchors/screws for all the holes in the brackets and countertop and it will need all the help it can get. I used two "Togglers" anchors - my kid will probably lean on them. Without decent anchors, forget it. The drop down mechanism is very good. It's not an easy setup due to how it works, but that's not the product's fault. It is exactly what it is - it requires some precision to align and attach. It shouldn't cost more than $25 in my opinion. But it's coming from China, so I'm not sure how the heck they did anything considering what it takes to get it to the US.
