The best hook design I have found is well made and reliable.

WHY YOU SHOULD CHOOSE THIS: Well, all things considered, if you're anything like me, you've looked at dozens of them and wondered if any of them could hold the weight , whether it sticks to the wall, is it strong, will it bend, what about the color, what about the shape and so on. Well, that's why I chose this option given the variety of wall hooks available. In short, this hook is just great because it's made from ONE PIECE OF THICK CURVED METAL with a smooth SLOW curve to prevent weak points from forming along the curve. Think Roman arches. The pressure extends along the curve and into the back, not just down. Also, this hook has TWO wall mounting HOLES which are WIDER than most other hooks, making the bolt less likely to break if you drill good pilot holes. If you care about the color, yes it is a black hook but you can dye it any color you want and that is the least important feature of the hook. Learn more about what works and what doesn't work with crochet below. First, many hooks are closer to square, but not quite square, U-shaped hooks. These hooks have a distinct curve at the bottom of the wall and at the front that goes up. Such a hook is not so strong because it has two pivot points, a weak point where a strong bend has already been made and where it would be easier for another bend to occur causing bending from one corner to the other. Second, many hooks are not only U hooks, but also rectangular U hooks or J hooks with a full 90 degree right angle at the bend from the bottom wall to the protrusion out of the wall. Not only is it easier to lean at this point, but probably, simply put, because there's nothing behind the part that's sticking out of the wall. So if it tilts a little, there's nothing behind it to steady it. and he just breaks down. Third, many hooks of various shapes are made from multiple pieces of metal and welds, creating multiple pivot points, so you get the same error. Fourth, most hooks have either one hole or two. that are very close together so you have a hook that screws into the stud with just one screw, with a weight limit of 50 or 60 pounds, or two that are so close together they share the stud, what a maximum weight of 10 or 10 leaves 20 pounds. Well, none of those issues are a problem for something like a small bike or a lightweight garden hose. However, when hanging very heavy metal objects like a jackhammer, a weak hook could damage your gear if it hits the concrete floor, let alone the ground. So re-read the second paragraph if you need a reminder, but essentially this hook ticks all the necessary boxes. It works and it works well. Good luck finding the right one for you.
