I bought this to control the music part of my karaoke system that needs to control the volume with the remote because the amp is in a hard to reach place. Well, this amp fails. As far as I can tell, the remote only adjusts the volume when the input is selected as AUX or FM radio. It definitely doesn't adjust the volume when the input is connected to the RCA CD or DVD input jacks. As with my other cheap Chinese amp, the remote control volume on the AUX and FM radio is adjustable from 0 (mute) to 30 (master volume control position). Why they chose this method is very strange, but now I have two devices doing the same thing. This is quite annoying because you have to turn the amp on at minimum volume, then use the remote to turn the volume down to 2 or 3, then turn the master volume control all the way down, and then use the remote to control the volume. . If you forget, your speakers or ears will burst when you turn on the amplifier. The sound quality is good, but without the remote it's useless to me. This goes back to Revane.
