We bought this about 7 months ago. There is usually a short circuit and if you don't hit the side of the light it won't burn. It was great at first but we use it almost every night for scorpion hunting and it's not designed for everyday use. Excellent at first glance, eats batteries like no other (recommended rechargeable). **Edit - Two years after I posted this review, the seller spams my email asking me to remove my "negative review". I really just want to downgrade to two stars for random spam**
