When I plug it into the wall, the blue LED on the cord lights up and it seems to work. It's great if you're looking for a high-tech night light, but that's about all it's good for. When I connect it to my laptop it just stops working. It makes clicking noises and the blue LED flashes briefly with every noise. It doesn't power my laptop and can't even charge the battery when the computer is off (which only requires 28W of the advertised 90W). I've tried different power cords, different outlets, and even tried plugging it into a smaller Dell laptop that only requires a 65W power adapter. It just doesn't work. The photo shows what appears to be a genuine Dell product, but the genuine product has a counterfeit label that is not UL, CE, ROHS or similar certified. Interestingly, when I peeled off the corner of the fake sticker, I saw a real Dell sticker like the one in the picture below. Pretty weird.
