Not sure if it says in the product description but this band has a POLISHED finish. Solid connections give the group good weight. If you have trouble with the watch case rolling to the outside of your wrist because it is much heavier than the strap, this case will solve that problem. I had to remove a link from each side of the strap and the tool provided did the trick. easy to do without damaging or scratching the tape. The grommets on my 16mm Timex Weekender were too thick to fit the holes in the strap ends; But the grommets that came with the strap worked great so I used those instead. The tools and extra grommets make it easy to attach the strap, and the strap is very attractive. I would buy this again.
