I originally received these to mount on my bed rail for rear and back lighting. But after a thorough revision, I decided to install them behind the grill. I have an 87 f250 460, I had to remove grill ribs about an inch from the inside. I lit the circular saw blade so it was nice and hot and it cut through the plastic like butter. I've tried shooting at night, but the camera can't tell exactly how far these things shine and what area they're lighting. Great for trails and street permits where I've installed them. I've also used them to finish a fence after sunset in under an hour with the truck parked and my big 460 fired up with no problems. Try using the headlights for more than 20 minutes with the engine off and you'll be off to a good start. I have a Mictuning 2 harness and the switch looks great on the dash. Soon I will put it on a piece of diamond plate. If you've made it this far in my review and haven't scrolled up to buy it, then you can do so now. They are ideal for any 12 volt lighting.
