I installed this remote control extension on the TV's external speakers to control amplifiers. Success! The remote extension allows me to mount an oscilloscope component. However, if I sit more than 12 feet away, it will be very difficult for me to repeat what I hear on TV. My chair is over 12ft tall and tilted towards the front of the entertainment complex so it doesn't work well at that distance. I have replaced the battery to no avail. 12' seems to be the max range and is a bit weak at that range.
