Nice decoration, with a few small annoyances

I am most satisfied with this snowman and I think it will be my favorite decoration this year. But there are a few things I'm less happy with. I'll highlight the good and bad below: THE GOOD: - The best part is that it uses a set of regular C7 candelabra bulbs. Easily available at your local hardware store, they can easily be converted to an LED version and give off a much better glow than the small bulbs typically found in Christmas garlands. I also believe that this garland is designed so that a faulty bulb does not disable the entire garland. Easy to pack. It was pretty easy to put together and the most amazing thing is that it can be disassembled to fit in a small box only about 1 inch thick! This makes it easy to pack up again after the holidays. - Stylish appearance. I'm going to be using this music coordinated as part of a Christmas light show and it was important to me that one prop didn't stand out much more than the other, so I chose this snowman and Santa Claus on a wire stand on a rubber dinghy. To me they look much more stylish than the inflatable ones without standing out too much from other decorations. Continuous. The wire frame on this snowman isn't as thick as some of the other wire frames I've owned, but it still feels solid and I'm sure if we're careful with the fabric it will serve us happily for years to come. BAD: Just a strip of lightbulbs down the middle. they shine well, it's a pity that the string is only misplaced in the middle. light thread, see middle. It's not critical and I understand it's easier to smash, but it would be better if the bulbs could be routed around the perimeter somehow. Shine, shine everywhere! Be sure to open the box on a tarp, sheet, or piece of cardboard as there will be a lot of glitter falling off when you take it out of the box. I opened it up in my driveway yesterday afternoon and am still trying to get all the glitter off. I'll probably have to take the handheld vacuum apart to vacuum my driveway, which would look silly, but I think that's the only way to get it working. - Attachment to the frame. The snowman's entire body collapses like a Chinese lantern. What keeps it open are two small elastic straps that pull the snowman's lower torso towards the main midframe. I expect these elastic bands to dry out or stretch in the first year of use and we may have to use rope or zip ties to keep them open in the future. - Thin cloth. I don't expect this to be a problem if we're careful, but the fabric is pantyhose thin. We must be careful to secure it well because I'm sure it will break if it falls in a strong wind. Overall this is a very good support, although the price is a bit high for what you get. Although I am happy with the purchase.
