It's a 1/4 " plasma cutter, period.

It's a decent little cutter, but my experience has been exactly the same as a few others; it cuts 3/8" into the wall. It doesn't cut 1/2" as advertised, so I'm returning it. A friend told me I was crazy for thinking a $199 unit could cut 1/2"; looks like he was right. If I only needed it for 1/4 inch I would leave it. Anything over 1/4 inch gets boring. I don't make it boring. Going back for 50A / 240V block.
