I haven't even ridden this headlight yet, but I can already say that it's incredibly bright. The full brightness setting is so bright you can't even see the light. I took it outside with the brightest flashlight we have and it was almost as bright as that flashlight's lowest setting. It can shine really far. I can't wait to ride with him at night. Hard to believe that so much light can come from something so small. By the way, the dimensions given on the product are wrong. The listing says it measures 9.1 x 3.2 x 1.6 inches, but it's actually 4 5/8 inches long, 2 inches wide, and about 1 inch thick. The package is much smaller than I thought.
