This smart, accurate and beautifully designed little infrared thermometer was sent to me for review - and I'm very glad I received it! This is a wonderful, useful, multifunctional device. The only problem was the first few moments I couldn't get it to work - until I saw a notice that I need a couple of AAA batteries (the notice could have been a bit more noticeable!), and then everything ran smoothly! This thermometer fits perfectly in my small hands (and will certainly be perfect for any size hands too!) - well balanced, smooth contours, buttons etc are very sensible placed and easy to use. The design and functionality are also very well thought out. The thermometer can be used in three ways - on the forehead (at a distance of 2.5 cm), in the ear and also to measure the heat of an object! There is a button to choose whether the person's age is 0-6 years, 6-12 years and adults. A curious use I discovered was to take my CATS' temperature! (I'm sure they'll be glad not to look at another rectal thermometer!) Easily switch functions or ages, very convenient and useful. It's easy to sanitize by flipping the device sideways and simply removing the protective case. Not only is the thermometer instant and accurate, it comes with a cute drawstring pouch for protection and easy hanging. I don't think it will be lost now as it is conveniently hanging on a small hook in sight. I think the design of this thermometer is incredibly well thought out - contoured and balanced and very beautiful as well as utterly intelligent. Looks like it was made in Italy or Germany. It really is a great, flexible and amazingly useful security tool for our time and beyond. And I'm really excited about the functionality and practicality. It's durable and much nicer than other similar thermometers I've seen - small, well balanced, multifunctional, with smooth contours - for people of all ages and for my pets! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED and much appreciated!
