This speaker cable must have been designed for a specific purpose, but I'm not sure what. It's wide, but there's an extra insulator between the two wires, so it's not thin enough to put against a wall or under a carpet, which would require a flat ribbon wire. The width makes it difficult to roll up some corners and stay flat, so it can flex along a vertical wall seam but won't stay flat on a ceiling around a corner. Thin nails can be inserted through the wide center insulator and it needs to be nailed at regular intervals if you want it to stay stretched flat and horizontal on a vertical surface. And the wire has so many strands, like hair, that it is impossible to twist it without swelling at the end, maybe it needs to be tinned. I used about 70ft for my project which was outdoors but mostly not exposed to UV. I couldn't find any information on outdoor suitability, probably not UV-resistant. There is still a huge heavy coil on the shelf in the garage for future projects. If you measure your wiring project up front and only buy enough wire, you'll always be 4 feet short, so it's tempting to buy more. So you buy too much, in which case your heirs will have to figure out how to use it. I think this wire has been a lot cheaper in the past, not sure if it's such a good deal now.
