Installed my old Samsung NVMe 970 to migrate to a newer larger Samsung NVMe 980 using MiniTool 10.2. worked fine No excessive heat other than the usual Samsung controller heat. I didn't use heatsink tape but may use it in the future depending on possible overheating. This is a diagnostic or migration tool and is not recommended for use as an external tool. Drive.
