Works great on HDD enclosures

Installed my old Samsung NVMe 970 to migrate to a newer larger Samsung NVMe 980 using MiniTool 10.2. worked fine No excessive heat other than the usual Samsung controller heat. I didn't use heatsink tape but may use it in the future depending on possible overheating. This is a diagnostic or migration tool and is not recommended for use as an external tool. Drive.

Great tool bag adapter, but with a caveat.

Purchased to add to my ever growing collection of adaptors, cables and connectors. The performance of the device is on par with the more expensive devices I have. The adapter comes in an anti-static bag along with thermal tape and some compressor connectors to fit small drives. The only downside is that the thermal strip is too thin, making it unsuitable for single-sided drives. Missing contact causes excessive overheating of the circuit board and can lead to premature failure.
