I bought a PixelFlash USB3 CF card reader with non-flexible contacts because a colleague had it for a while and thought it was great. I wanted to share my positive experience. I need to use this for a job reading and writing data on industrial equipment. Countless other cheap CF card readers I've used in the past have very short lifespans, and I've spent a lot of work time prying off the contacts with a tiny screwdriver. But this one has pins deep in the card slot, with CF card guides to prevent bent pins. The time saved by using this reader will quickly justify the price. I chose the bright red variant because it shows up well in my black work bag. to keep dirt out of the slot while I keep it in my work bag. It looks like there is laser engraving on the packaging. As soon as I plugged it into the USB port, Windows 10 recognized it and it worked right away. It has small LED indicators that light up when you plug it into a USB port, and the card slot is also subtly lit so you can easily insert a CF card in the dark. The packaging says it's designed and made in the USA, so that's good to know too.
