This deodorant is OUTSTANDING! I have a skin reaction to almost every store bought female antiperspirant/deodorant and have found that "natural" deodorants are completely ineffective at controlling odor. I've even tried men's deodorants without an antiperspirant, but they didn't help. I honestly got sick of the smell of a stinky barn after a workout, or even after waking up from a good night's sleep. After reading the following reviews I bought 3 natural deodorant creams and have been using them for 2 months. Here's my review comparing them for odor control, comfort of use, and dryness. 3 deodorant creams were purchased: Purelygreat Women's Citrus Deodorant Cream, Crawford Street Lemon Deodorant Cream and Schmidt's Bergamot + Lime Natural Deodorant. Here are the pros and cons of each product in order of my preference. Purelygreat Citrus Natural Deodorant for Women: Better overall odor control with better antiperspirant function Pros: Absolutely best odor control of the 3 products. I can put it on in the morning, work out, sleep through the night and have virtually no body odor the next morning. The smell is not overpowering or "perfumed", it just acts as an excellent BW neutralizer. The scent begins with strong citrus fruits (grapefruit, orange, lime and cypress) but quickly fades to a light, clean scent. It also acts as an antiperspirant. Cons: It can cause skin irritation if used immediately after shaving. It has a slightly grainy and sticky texture that takes some getting used to. The product does not layer and requires frequent mixing. I wish it had come with a small plastic stirrer/applicator. Crawford Street Lemon Deodorant CreamPro: The best cream scent right out of the can, slightly floral, wonderfully lemony, but not as long-lasting odor protection. It also acts as a mild antiperspirant. This cream has the best consistency and texture of the three products as it is based on coconut oil and shea butter. He is not divided. Upon application, it feels silky and moisturizing. Cons: Requires reapplication at the end of the day to improve odor and moisture control. It was the most expensive of the creams and didn't come with free shipping. I wish it came with an applicator. Schmidt Natural Deodorant - Bergamot + Lime Pro: Nice smell, a little more musky than the other two and more gender neutral although one boy said he doesn't like the smell of fruit." cheapest of the 3 creams This cream doesn't peel off It comes with a great little plastic applicator Cons: This is my least favorite scent in terms of smell Overall it didn't work for my body odor, it took a while few repeated uses for improved odor control and just seemed to mask the BO rather than neutralize it .It was the least effective antiperspirant, the cream was chalky and slightly crumbly. It also irritated the skin when used after shaving.
