Works as described, good value for money

I have multiple laptops and a desktop that I need to use simultaneously during my workday. This device allows me to do this seamlessly without spending thousands of dollars on KVM in the data center. Pros: - High video quality (1920x1080 only, so I can't speak in full 4K) - Easy to switch between screens (with keyboard or mouse). )- Works with an active PS/2 to USB converter. Cons: - To switch ports using the keyboard, press Ctrl twice, type 1-4 (port number) and then press Enter. Double-clicking Ctrl doesn't always register on the device, so sometimes you have to press a number and enter in every app you use. If it's a chat program, end up sending a single digit to your conversation. I switched the trigger key to NumLock and had better success. Using a mouse sequence avoids this entirely, but it can be difficult to reliably double-click the scroll wheel. The device only supports HDMI. None of my monitors have an HDMI port. I knew this when I bought it, but I was hoping that using HDMI <-> DisplayPort adapters on the monitor side would work. They didn't work. The kit included an HDMI <-> DVI adapter that worked perfectly. I ended up ordering two more and that solved my problem. My desktop PC only has one HDMI output, two DVIs and one DisplayPort connector. The HDMI output worked right away. Using an HDMI <-> DVI adapter initially caused the monitor to appear pink. Apparently this has to do with the color space output of Windows. My graphics card uses YCbCr by default, which is not correctly interpreted by the KVM or monitor. Switching the color space to full RGB fixes the problem. There were no changes to the monitor through the HDMI output. These cons are picky. In general I am very satisfied with the device for the money spent. I would buy this again.
