I've been looking for a trailer shelf for 4 years. This machine is perfect for my needs. I have a trailer that is 7ft wide, not the standard 8ft width. This is a tag for a pair, the Jayco Jay Feather 7, which has only been in production for a year. The manufacturer designed the width of the two side cabinets to be 9 1/4 inches wide. However, the case opening is only 7 1/4 inches. wide. This put me in a difficult position when trying to find a solution for both cabinets as the opening is much smaller than the inside dimensions. This product meets my needs. It's well made, good value, made from quality materials, and the slimmest hanging shelf I could find. It hangs well on the closet rod and can be easily raised and lowered. I had to find a basket that could slide into any hole in the shelf so I could access the items stored and remove the basket if needed. The goal solved my dilemma. Item 5L 1/2 Medium Wave Rectangular Basket from Room Essentials. The item retails for $4.00 each and the store's color choices were mint green, white, and gray. The target bins are 12 5/8" long, 5" wide and 5 1/2" high at the bottom. Top measurements: 13 3/4" long, 5 7/8" wide and 5 1/2" high. The baskets are slightly angled to open more from the top than from the bottom, making them perfect for this hanging shelf. Baskets can be pushed to the end of the shelf to view contents or removed for easy access. They don't come off the shelf. The photos show the closet door closed. The open cabinet with trash cans is fully retracted into the shelf. Container partially extended, partially closed. An open door with a flap closed on three sides with Velcro to prevent objects from falling out while driving. You won't be disappointed if you are looking for a slim, well thought out and waterproof hanging shelf. This Hang About shelf could have been designed to fit my narrow closet.
