Terrible bulbs are best in LED bulbs

Update: What I thought was a blown bulb but 2 other bulbs died inexplicably. Of the 6 lamps we received, 3 stopped working. A weird broken bulb can happen. But it seems like every two weeks a lightbulb goes out for no real reason. ****** I really wouldn't recommend these pears. At least if you use them as colored light bulbs. I wasn't expecting much from a brand I'd never heard of for a low price but we needed a candelabra base for a fan and a light bar in the bathroom so I went with them. We're smart home nerds here, I've automated almost my entire house and I love using lightbulbs for very specific things. Included. We didn't need super flexible lightbulbs, but I needed them for a specific purpose (to be able to color them blue at night and cool and warm white during the day). I knew I couldn't automate color based on the time of day like my Wyze and Kasa bulbs, so I was fine with not having that feature. The app is terrible. If I rate the app, it would be -5 stars. You can't even change the color through the app, I have to use Google Home to change it. Smart home integration - 2 stars. I haven't tried Alexa as we only have one and it's in my son's room, but Google is having a hard time working with it. It's not terrible, but it wasn't as smooth as the Wyze or Kasa bulbs I've got elsewhere. You get disconnected/reset by Google/WLAN too often. A week went by and I had to read the lightbulbs in the bathroom when all three disappeared from Google Home and we blinked. then). And finally, after using the light for 2 weeks, a lightbulb inexplicably burned out. I pulled the circuit to turn on the fan and a light just went out. I'm not sure if it's related, but it happened at the same time. I changed the outlet and it was definitely a lightbulb. All other bulbs were fine (and we've never had one in this cartridge before). But to conclude on a positive note, they are not very bright, but the light output is ok. For a 35-watt equivalent, that's quite a lot.

Pros
  • WHAT YOU NEED is only 2.4GHz WiFi and a smartphone to install the proposed APP-Smart Life.
Cons
  • Not bad but...
