The ability of futuremargin to predict products that will sell in near/far futures dates makes it an excellent tool when you need historical data from other years or months not available at this time! It can be used as part forecasting but also has some nice reporting features too - I like being able to pull out specific item lines by SKU number etc rather than having to do so manually through excel (or worse) spreadsheets!! We are using FMCG items with no seasonality meaning we don't have any seasonal patterns going into our forecasts which means they tend get better results compared to more traditional methods where there's usually peaks during certain seasons such Christmas / Easter.
This helps us plan ahead since these periods see increased buying activity due to promotions & events around them.
