August 25, 2020: Just received and tested this. The audio from my phone and tablet seems to be a bit quieter. So I thought maybe an external speaker would help. Bought two different ones after reading the reviews. The sound in this speaker is higher compared to the built-in phone or tablet. but not in the way it is advertised or said in the reviews. Don't expect high volume. it's a bit louder but it's a small device (no main audio) As for portability? It's like tending to a golf ball with the tee sticking out on the side. It plugs into a 3.5mm jack port on your device, so you don't have to keep a separate device or keep it on the table next to you. It becomes a somewhat ripped extension of your device.
