Is this a remanufactured tool? Yes. Will it last forever? Probably no. Does it serve its intended purpose? Yes. I bought this to replace 17 year old OEM driveshafts in the drive shafts of a Jeep Wrangler that has spent most of its life parked in the woods. I've tried picking out the joints myself but to no avail. Too stuck despite the superfluous PB Blaster. This tool removed them all in 15 minutes. Anyone who broke the unthreaded end of this tool probably had a misaligned U-connection with the hole. Apply some general purpose lubricant to the threads before using for support. The case says "no impact wrench" but I've used my Dewalt 18v with no problems. If you want the perfect tool, unused, that will last a lifetime, spend $300 on a similar snap-on kit. If you want to save some money and don't want to break the bank, this costs $47 with shipping. Great tool, 10/10.
