I bought this base to replace the one on my 15 year old chair which started losing cylinder pressure after sitting at my desk for a while. I love my chair and it's still in perfect condition so I didn't want to completely change it. This base was very easy to assemble and install on the chair. All the screw holes are perfectly matched, and the color and design perfectly match the chair. The base is really good and has worked great for about a year. However, now it is starting to sink, just like the old base. I would hope it lasts longer.
