First of all, it is very difficult to insert and remove the phone from this holder. Other mounts have a release button that allows you to simply open the mount, place your phone in it, and then close it manually. This product has a tension spring that needs to be opened to fit the phone. It is VERY difficult to do this with one hand and not easy with two hands as you have to drill a hole when installing the phone. Let's not get too carried away, this is a phone mount so I wasn't talking about the need for extreme force, but it's difficult to do while the other mounts I've used are very easy with one hand. More importantly, after using the charger for about 30 minutes. The first time my phone (iPhone 8) froze. It didn't respond to any buttons, including a manually forced restart. A few minutes later I put the phone in another (non-wireless) charger and the phone thaws. This happened again and then the charger stopped charging completely. I called Belkin, which I thought was a reputable company. I expected them to either tell me this is a known issue, or (at least pretend to be) shocked and apologetic (at least telling the customer what they want to hear and politely saying you don't care can do). But the agent just said. call amazon and they settle that. I returned it. End.
