I've been looking for a reliable small external SSD to backup camera footage. The thing rocks. For Type C, the speed is around 3-400Mbps. Copying 1GB files takes seconds with USB Type-C, slightly longer with USB Type-A 3.0 and much longer with USB 2.0. Using Crystal DiskMark, a 1GB file averaged about 939MB/s and 950MB/s sequential read and write, respectively. Even the occasional 4K read and write isn't bad, with average read and write speeds of 35MB/s and 49MB/s, respectively. These discs are very easy to use. I didn't notice that they got very hot.
