So Chrysler seems to have a problem with their fuel pumps and gaskets. Because the 2006 Chrysler 300's fuel pumps are under the back seat and accessible from INSIDE the vehicle, you can stun your family with gasoline fumes every time you fill up. We decided that at 145,000 miles we would simply replace the entire fuel pump system, not just the gasket as with normal vehicle maintenance. Although my husband says it took a long time, the transition was pretty easy. Now our family no longer has to deal with gasoline emissions! Hooray for kids!
