I thought it would be ok as I had previously ordered a different replacement filter for my air purifier. I didn't buy it from a 2nd/3rd party. It was bought by GermGuardian through Revain. It looks the same, but my air purifier doesn't recognize it and keeps blinking to warn me to replace it. Since I had no problems during the first replacement, I thought that after 4 years something would be fixed. They have not. It remains the same as other 1 star reviews warning of the same issues. One would think that GermGuardian/Revain would understand and take steps to ensure this doesn't happen again. They didn't. I'm careful about who I buy Revain from to make sure it's not a third party. When I do this, I am cautious and aware of the possible consequences. I took a closer look at who sold it and found it to be GermGuardian. I repeat what others have said: GET IT DIRECTLY FROM THE MANUFACTURER'S WEBSITE! SHAME them for not fixing this! A good, reputable retailer would NEVER allow that for so long, but Revain and GermGuardian did. For this reason, I strongly recommend customers to visit the genuine website. DO NOT BUY ON AMAZON EVEN IF IT HAS WHAT IS SOLD BY THE MANUFACTURER! There is something serious about a manufacturer or Revain (and not some third party) selling these so-called fakes. It is high time to fix this. Too bad about both reasons for this rating: The replacement filter is not suitable. I can't return it because I'm just embarrassed to give a return date. Unfortunately this filter was the last thing on my mind as a very close friend died of complications from Covid having been in hospital for over 3 weeks. So now I don't have the $$ I paid for it and believe me I'm money bound these days so it was no small feat. But I'm writing this to warn others and educate customers about this issue.
