And of course, the protagonist Mac rightfully brings a gun to a strange meeting where he faces a serial killer who intends to torture and kill him. It's good to have a gun, isn't it? Do you know how to protect yourself from evil? We've been told many times that someone (meaning innocent people) can be hurt by a gun, so don't take it with you. Against Mac's better knowledge, he brings the gun with him. Surprisingly, the gun doesn't pop out and kill anyone! Of course, Our Lady puts the gun away with two fingers at arm's length because she's so disgusted with it. I believe the author never read or believed in the Old Testament. God supported the Israelites in their efforts to destroy their enemies. God has no problem with violently destroying evil or defending himself. I had to stop reading after that ant-like, anti-patriarchal scene in the book. It wouldn't surprise me if there was unjustified homosexuality later in the book, but I'll never know. Left: Please stop trying to co-opt Christianity. Please stop trying to twist and distort this. Thank God we have the Bible, black and white. But just as they are doing with the US Constitution, the left will try to say that what the Bible says changes over time.
