So happy to have found this!
When I lost hope I found this! I was offered nearly $600 for a screen repair/replacement at my local Apple Store after my daughter jumped on my screen. I've been using it with an external monitor for a while, so I took a chance before considering a new MacBook. I watched a youtube video showing each step and although it takes time and patience I am very happy!
