I've had a couple of these for a few years and they eventually gave up, probably because I don't take very good care of my devices. They are the best! Why buy new receivers, headsets and other expensive electronics when you can buy a $30 adapter? a connector I can use to connect it to my home audio receiver (with the added audio cable I already had) to make it bluetooth. This way I can hear my ipod etc through the speakers scattered throughout the house and garden! For $30! Without replacing expensive Sony equipment. No reception problems, neither on the home receiver nor on the various portable speakers I've had.
