Review on 🚤 FPF Fuel Pump for Suzuki Outboard DF100, DF115, DF140, DF200, DF225, DF250, DF90 - 15200-90J00, 15200-93J01 Replacement by Shawn Jacobs

I have a 2005 Suzuki DF115 four stroke outboard. The old fuel pump was defective. When you turn the key you should hear it working for 3 seconds and there was no noise. I bought and installed a new high pressure fuel pump from Quantum Fuel Systems (QFS) and it made a faint noise for 3 seconds when the key was on but the boat would not start. I've spent a lot of time and money replacing everything else in the fuel system and it still won't start (no fuel spray in the intake). I finally bought and installed this FPF fuel pump and the engine started right away! When the key is on, the FPF fuel pump works and sounds 10 times louder than the QFS. QFS refunded my money immediately, but the time, loss of ability to use the boat and incredible disappointment mean I never want to buy anything from QFS. PS If you get a 4-2 code it's not the flywheel position sensor, mine was the fuel pump. After the engine has been running for about 30 seconds, the code will disappear. Also clean the injectors by removing them and soaking them in injector cleaner. This prevented the engine from jerking. And NEVER use ethanol in this engine. Happy boating!
