generally good but could be better

they are very good for the price! my size. They taper a little on me right at the ball of the foot; I would have preferred to have half sizes available. I wish the straps themselves were a bit thicker/wider, maybe a full inch instead of half an inch as they are now. I really appreciate that the seams of the straps are softer with extra material, it's soft and feels like a swimsuit. The bottom of the foot is quite grippy and the inside of the sole is soft with a nice texture. A few things I would change if I could make them from scratch, but overall they're pretty good and definitely worth the price compared to other brands in the same price range. The main disadvantage of these shoes is the construction. There's a serious design flaw that's quite annoying; I worked on this using some scraps of black fleece I had laying around and it might not be that annoying to anyone, BUT. the velcro straps on the shoes, the hook part that sticks to the eyes and keeps them in place? There is at the bottom. I don't know who approved this design, but unless you're wearing shoes with the straps fully on so no velcro is showing, you've got a couple of hooks that just sit quietly ready to hook onto anything, what they touch with. . I don't know who approved this design decision, but in every other example of asymmetric velcro I've seen, you have a grommet strip, a soft part at the bottom, so no matter where you attach at the end, the hooks snap the top on the lower eyelet and are completely closed. They like to stick to my pants when I'm kneeling or sitting cross-legged, and to the carpet in my living room. So kinda annoying.
