Review on Monoprice Keyboard Converter Adapter 110934 by Jeremy Kakaruk

Update: After a week of daily use, I have very rarely noticed that this adapter can sometimes cause accidental keystrokes and repeated/multiple presses of the same key. It happened 3 times in 7 days. After reviewing the reviews, this seems to be a known issue. It's not enough to put me off using it, but for gaming and typing (or other high-precision keyboard needs) you might want to look at a real USB keyboard. One star off for this erratic behavior. I'm writing this review on a Windows 10 Pro PC with an HP KB-1156 keyboard running through a Monoprice PS/2 adapter. Based on the negative reviews, I doubted it would work. but I took the risk and I'm glad I did. Details on how I got it to work (for the first time) are below. Pros: - Occupies a USB slot for a PS/2 keyboard and mouse --> You can connect just a keyboard, just a mouse, or both. OS compatible (listed on the box) with all Windows versions from Windows 98/SE to Windows 7, Mac OS9 and OSX and Linux. Works with Windows 10 (at least the Pro version). Inexpensive! Cons: Only downside, I didn't have 2 day delivery. but for the price and the function it is worth it. Mine will arrive in about a week. HOW TO INSTALL ON WINDOWS 10 (You might still be reading this!) Note. This will most likely work on all Windows versions. Conclusion: You must allow Windows to fully recognize the device before connecting a mouse and keyboard. When you first try to connect the converter to a keyboard and/or mouse, there is a high chance that it will not recognize it. into an available USB port, Windows 10 will detect and install the device4.) Once installed (takes a few minutes), plug in a keyboard and/or mouse and they should work fine. This is used daily (from November 2018). Should there be any issues in the coming months/years I will update the review accordingly. For now this is a solid 5 star product.
