These work fairly well for what they are designed for, but these seem to be just made of cardboard so don't think you can just plant the entire thing into the garden hoping that the pot will dissolve easily. However, after many weeks of indoor growing, the cardboard tends to get a bit soft (especially on the bottom) so tearing away the pot prior to transplanting into garden is reasonable. FYI: Even though the bottom got soft after many weeks, roots did not penetrate the cardboard. They CANNOT be reused so that might want to steer you toward plastic pots of similar size.
