We've had this bookcase for about 2 years now and it's holding up pretty well. It's nice that the books are positioned exactly how they stand on it, making it easier for young children to pick it up. There is also space in the back to store smaller books and that is really helpful for small books when the kids are small. The only reason I'm giving it four stars instead of five is that the wheels aren't very functional to make it easy to move the bookshelf. They are mostly decorative and if you have a hardwood floor like ours it can scratch them when manoeuvring. Small children will of course also try to climb everything, so I would like to warn you by saying that when your children are 1 to 2 years old, they will probably try to climb this bookshelf, so I will keep an eye on them are around them. . It was very easy to put together which was a plus and the little cartoon fox and squirrel still look good on the front two years later.
