Worth building

This is a nice piece and feels solid. It holds a ton of books. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that it took over an hour to assemble and had someone look after the baby while I fiddled with the instructions. It's not too difficult, just a little intense and time consuming. The end product is wonderful.

A cute, kid-friendly, fun way to introduce books

Cute, kid-friendly at its level. I like the portability and compact form factor. Good capacity. I like the "secret" compartment on the back. During assembly, the fitter was concerned that the screws might loosen over time, so wood glue was used to reinforce it as a precaution. Good value for money. Encourages the child's "ownership", in contrast to the constantly arranged bookshelf on the wall. squeeze him Invite adults to read together. Too young to see if it works but I like the concept. Good product for the price

This beautiful bookcase is exactly what I was looking for. Does a great job displaying lots of books and my toddler can reach them himself. The assembly instructions weren't very clear, but if you've already assembled IKEA furniture, then everything is intuitive. The quality is just ok but what you expect for the price. It's chipboard and therefore subject to breakage - a small corner broke off at the very front of the bookcase when I was unpacking it before assembling it. Not good. It also…

TERRIBLE INSTRUCTIONS AND CHEAP MATERIALS

As other reviewers have said, one of the pieces was slightly damaged with a corner chipped off when I received my bookshelf (although great care was taken to carefully remove each piece from the packaging) . Also, as other viewers have noted, the building instructions for this bookcase are the most useless instructions I've seen for any piece of furniture (and my husband and I are Ikea professionals). It took about 40 minutes to assemble this entire device due to the lack of clarity as to which

Solves all our book storage problems - and easy access for our little ones

We FINALLY have a great place to keep our children's books! Our 16 month old twins love it. You can see all her books and even take them from the top shelf. Even better, they can PUT THEM ON THE SHELVES, which teaches them how to clean up. It's a miracle. Seriously, this unit is really cute, has plenty of shelf space (it's pretty low and not that high) and can be carried around without rolling all over the place thanks to the rubber wheels. Great bookshelf, be careful if your kid is a climber.

We've had this bookcase for about 2 years now and it's holding up pretty well. It's nice that the books are positioned exactly how they stand on it, making it easier for young children to pick it up. There is also space in the back to store smaller books and that is really helpful for small books when the kids are small. The only reason I'm giving it four stars instead of five is that the wheels aren't very functional to make it easy to move the bookshelf. They are mostly decorative and if you…
