Review on Samsung QN55QN90AAFXZA 55" Neo QLED 4K Smart TV 2021 Bundle + 1 Year Premium Extended Protection Plan by Mkanand Anand ᠌

Nightmarish quality and complete inconsistency with the description.

At the end of June, I bought this TV on sale with full confidence that I was buying a TV with a VA matrix and honest 10 bit, because. at the announcement, subsequent news and on all foreign sites and reviews (apparently American), this information was stated. After about a month of use, I accidentally stumbled upon information that it turns out that this TV has an IPS matrix and a color depth of 8bit + frc. Upon delving into the question, I realized that this is indeed the case. At the same time, this information is not advertised anywhere by Samsung. On the websites of third-party stores (for example, Amazon), where the VA matrix was previously declared, now this parameter is simply not indicated (perhaps according to Samsung's instructions). Even on the market, there are two pages for this TV: 1. current, where the type of VA matrix is \u200b\u200bspecified 2. with the addition of XRU at the end of the model, where again the matrix type is not indicated As a result, I decided to exchange this TV for LG OLED55CXRLA despite almost a month of use. Thanks to the aliexpress store for getting into a position, going to a meeting and making an exchange, although it is absolutely not to blame for this situation. Samsung support to the statement about the discrepancy between the expected matrix and the real one and the request for help in the exchange (interacted in parallel with Samsung and aliexpress) only answered "Well, yes, we produce different TVs with different matrices for different markets. We are very sorry." At the same time, the answer was received about a week after the appeal, when the TV had already been changed without the help of Samsung, despite the announced deadlines of 2-3 days taken to study the issue. After this situation, trust in the Samsung brand was completely lost. On TV, I can’t say that it’s just terrible, the picture is generally pleasant (but I didn’t have experience using this class of TV before). Most likely the TV is not worth the money. In terms of sound, I can only say that when connected to the receiver, the sound is quieter and slightly worse through hdmi arc than when the receiver is connected to a computer via hdmi.

Pros
  • 1. Software speed and response 2. Design
Cons
  • 1. Samsung Consumer Policy 2. IPS matrix instead of the originally declared VA 3. No honest 10bit (8bit+frc) 4. Not very stable stand compared to LG OLED55CXRLA 5. Dampness of the software despite the speed (periodic progling, the remote control ceased to be visible) 6. Twitchy picture in dynamic scenes (mb. I have crooked hands and could not adjust)
