I have an old (but not super old) gas heater in the basement that heats the house. When I think of old gas systems, I always think of carbon monoxide. It's the same with my kettle, it also runs on gas. This little device sits in my basement next to the heater and water heater where any gases that come out of the device or any vents on the device will drain. The numbers it's showing right now are well below specs, so thank goodness it's not a cause for concern at the moment, but it's nice to have that extra gauge just in case. Installation was very easy and I love how you just slide it off the mount and replace the battery. The test tone was quite loud, so I'm sure it can easily alert us when the situation arises. Knock on wood. The display is fairly legible and has a nice blue light for visibility in dark places. Great little peace of mind device for your home.
