I made the mistake of not reading the reviews before buying this cable because the cable they sent me absolutely didn't work. The cable fitted my camera and microphone snugly and the camera recognized the microphone as soon as it was plugged in. However, after some test recordings, I found that the only sounds recorded were the wind and muffled noises. At first I thought the mic was the problem until I bought a cable from another company and it works like a gem. Whoever runs this company does not know the difference between different cable types.
