It's really a mono cable that looks like stereo

Hooked up my Lux Pro mic and was only able to get one channel working. It is indeed a mono cable. Otherwise a very good cable. Well made and good overall quality. You need to use an adapter to make it work in stereo.

Pros
  • Happy so far
Cons
  • Anything I can add

NOT the best stereo cable of all cables and connectors

This cable feels great, can bend but is NOT a stereo cable. I took it on with my toner mic and the quality is poor and it only picks up 1 channel on 2ch recording. If you don't need a stereo audio cable this one is perfect, but I feel cheated that I paid almost $10 for a mono cable.

  • Durable Test Results

Doesn't work on my Mackie Board

I don't know what the problem is but the cable gave me VERY POOR sound quality the first time I used it. I checked the wiring with a meter and it's connected like a standard XLR cable should be, but the audio was very poor and distorted. It was like the sound of each track was going back and forth on each channel. I really can't explain it. I keep trying to figure it out, but to this day I haven't been able to.

Did the trick! for stereo jack cable

I needed a cable that would allow me to use my mic through my bass amp just to practice in a small room so my guitarist could use his amp. Again, not for performance, just for reference; We use large appropriate amplifiers for the power. I thought I was going to connect via an AUX input so I set this XLR to 1/8 inch. I had to use a 1/4 adapter because it worked through the bass input. I tried XLR at 1/4. "I already had the cable, but it was all noise. Love it!

Pros
  • New to my collection
Cons
  • Useless features

Sound level is too low for my needs

I have an amp with an extra 1/8" stereo input that can be used for an MP3 player or other audio source. I thought I could do this Using cable to connect my XLR mic (Shure Beta 58) but as the amp expects an amplified signal on the 1/8th stereo jack I didn't hear any sound from my amp I have this on my mic input on my Windows 10 computer tested but had to turn the mic input to maximum to hear sound The cable works but a preamp is needed if you want to use a typical stage mic.

READ THE REVIEWS FIRST!

I made the mistake of not reading the reviews before buying this cable because the cable they sent me absolutely didn't work. The cable fitted my camera and microphone snugly and the camera recognized the microphone as soon as it was plugged in. However, after some test recordings, I found that the only sounds recorded were the wind and muffled noises. At first I thought the mic was the problem until I bought a cable from another company and it works like a gem. Whoever runs this company does…

  • Not cheap but decent

Win something, lose something, win big again!

I used to have cables from this supplier, they are great; I just bought it and it rumbles horribly so I'm sending it back. UPDATE December 10, 2020: The vendor worked with me to fix the issue and I learned something important: Check your device to see if it requires a balanced or unbalanced cable to work properly. The seller showed me that my intended device requires an unbalanced cable which I ordered from him and it works great. I would give them more than 5 stars if I could because the…

Updated Best AV Accessories Roundup

"I bought this to connect my newly purchased ART TubeMPSTV3 Variable Valve Voicing Tube Mic Pre with Limiter to my 3.5mm audio jack in my van. The goal is to boost the microphone. through car speakers. The line works but picks up interference from the inverter to feed the preamp so badly it's 100% useless. "It's true it's unsuitable for my purposes, but I've got my balanced line now and it's only marginally better, leading me to conclude I misjudged this cable and the power supply is just…
