Review on AKG Y500 On-Ear Foldable Wireless Bluetooth Headphones - Pink (US Version) by Chris Lujan

I have two pairs of AKG headphones that I have used for several years (Q701 with in-ear headphones and Q450 with wired in-ear headphones ) and bought an AKG Y500 Wireless to add some versatility. So I had the opportunity to compare the AKGY500 to two pairs I already own. I found - through repeated comparison - that the Y500 was significantly inferior to the Q701 and Q450, even when listening to a wired connection. I also experienced poor connection when using the Y500 in wired mode. The Y500s were very well designed and built. But I just couldn't get over the Y500's poor (dirty and muffled) sound quality and sent it back. That may not be fair of me, but I suggest that AKG go back to the drawing board and develop wireless/wired headphones with comparable sound range to their older models.
