Review on 🍲 High-quality 9" Kitchen Fine Mesh Strainer with Durable Handle and Convenient Wider Hook - Ideal for Quinoa Straining by Jessica Moore

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Easy to clean, balances on sink, fine mesh works with small items

Mesh adheres firmly to metal to prevent small items like rice from slipping under the rim and getting stuck (a common problem with plastic filter) - Dishwasher safe - Stays well balanced on the sink to strain. Saves an extra hand to carry large or hot pots to the strainer - Mesh lends itself to small items like rice and quinoa - Versatility. The large opening and medium depth make it easy to unload and empty noodle and rice pots. Sturdy and durable construction. The handle is of course in the hand. The design lends itself well to horizontal storage against a closet door. Cons: The hole is too big to empty the rice back into the 2 liter pot after cooking without emptying a few grains of rice down the sink. I have been using this strainer several times a week for several months. This is my workhorse. Most often I use it for the following: rinsing fruit portions (berries), rinsing rice, draining rice after cooking, thawing frozen vegetables (peppers and onions), rinsing canned beans. used to rinse quinoa and lentils. The second picture shows a strainer with four 15.5 ounce cans of red beans for size reference.
