Review on Ultimate USB Programming Cable for BTECH, BaoFeng, πŸ”Œ Kenwood & AnyTone Radios: BTECH PC03 FTDI Genuine USB Cable by Joseph Rasmussen

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Take this cable, you will like it very much.

This cable uses FTDI chip, very reliable, never let me down. I originally bought a cheaper Baofeng programming cable that uses a Prolific chip. It locked my computer and never worked. Spend a little more on a cable and get this VERY good FTDI Programming USB Cable. I used it with the CHIRP software to program 4 radios in about 1 hour. The first 45 minutes was spent configuring CHIRP and the rest of the time just uploading data to the radios. PS: This also works on tri-band Btech radio, although CHIRP (recommended Baofeng program) talks about tri-band programming. This is a beta, not final, it works for what I did. All three groups. 2M 220MHz and 440MHz as well as marine channels, GMRS, Weather etc. Tip: The ONLY problem with this cable is that it actually requires drivers which are easy to find. If Windows Device Manager shows problems, just REMOVE the driver AND FILES (it doesn't actually remove the drivers, it unlinks them). Then install the FTDI software driver, then scan for new hardware and voila, there it is. Check the serial port used and the same serial port (COM3, COM4, etc.) in CHIRP and have fun - it's much easier than manually programming a Baofeng or Btech radio.
