Isn’t cut perfectly

I got this for the area of my marble countertop that sees the heaviest traffic. I love the surface. It wipes down easily. What I don’t like is that it’s not perfectly rectangular. One end is wider than the other by 1/3 inch, so it sticks out the edge. It’s also 3/4 inches longer than stated. It’s a thick material so it’s not easily corrected with an exacto knife or scissors. It’s hard to know if you should then get the size you need or size down.
