I really can't tell you if they are green or black because they change with the light. Very beautiful stones that attract attention. My boss loves seafaring so it was perfect. The needle itself is well made. The anchor will be highlighted and you can easily see each point. A great thing to wear and get comments on. I give one star for the chain. It really isn't as pretty as a whole piece of jewelry and if you want a gorgeous brooch/pin then why not wear a cleaner chain? This is of course just my opinion. Maybe you find it more masculine. Not me. Absolutely a gift! This is a great item and would make a great gift!
