I bought this to keep the battery in my RV charged during storage. Installed today according to instructions, didn't help. I checked the voltage coming from the panel and it was 19.6 volts. I checked the voltage coming out of the controller and it was 0. I rechecked all the wiring and found that the battery wires going to the controller were swapped. After changing it still didn't work. I had 19.6 volts coming into the controller from the panel and 0 volts coming out of the controller and going to the battery. The battery itself is almost empty. It was only 1.9 volts. At least it still had some polarity, the panel should have started charging. So my conclusion is the same as other buyers who have stated that the controller that came with the panel is rubbish. So I'll buy a better controller and see if it works. What I did during this time was connect the panel directly to the battery. The battery is now 19.5 volts and should be charged. I leave it plugged in for a few days and see if the battery is charged. I connected it directly because I need to check the smog on my RV this month and the battery level is too low to run it. It's in a warehouse with no room to plug my shore. Hopefully in a few days the battery will be charged enough to start the engine so I can check for smog. I know many of you are saying that it's better to just jump on the battery. Unfortunately, the battery is in a very difficult place to connect wires to it, and to remove the battery you have to remove it from under the car. which I can't do because I had heart surgery just last month and haven't been able to lift for six months. So I only have about three weeks to test it for smog and after that I have plenty of time to figure out the issue with the controller. I'll update after I install the new controller and tell you all about how I found out.
