I still use this item, despite some annoyances, because it does work to keep me off my back. I measured myself and had my husband double-check my measurement before I ordered based on the company's size recommendations. I think a small would have been a better fit for me despite my measurements. The waist strap and shoulder straps are ridiculously long. I am not a small person (215 lb), and I have the waist strap almost as tight as it will go. I have the shoulder straps as tight as I can get them, too, with the shoulder straps secured to the waist belt with the little square pieces of velcro that are halfway up the strap instead of the velcro at the ends (where you're supposed to secure them) because the straps are way way too long. The waist and shoulder straps have stretch to them, I assume for comfort, so I'd err on the side of smaller size because of the stretch. I haven't had any issues regarding the inflatable portion. The product does what it should, but be careful with the sizing.
