This is a great monitor arm and I bought the second arm from these guys (although the other had two arms it was actually the same type with an extra Shoulder). They were very easy to put together as all I had to do was sit and watch my 12 year old put it together. :-) I can confirm that they are very strong. The hand this test is designed for will hold a 34-inch ultra-wide monitor with no problem. And the dual arm holds a very old (and heavy) 25" monitor plus a lighter 24" touchscreen monitor. All required some adjustment of the gas cylinder (easily with the supplied hex wrenches) to properly balance them. But they work really well and I'm very happy with them and I've bookmarked both types for future purchases should the need arise. Very satisfied ! Another good thing is that the top clamp is very large and lightly padded to protect the surface from damage. The bottom of the screw clamp didn't really impress me (although it will probably fit most setups) - I added a "docking plate" roof structure (about a dollar anywhere hardware is sold) to spread the load. a little better-- and I'm very happy.
